I'm not just a Zentangle teacher! Here are a few fun facts about me...
Glasgow-girl at heart
I’m a Glasgow-girl born and bred. I moved away to Dundee and lived there for the best part of two decades but moving back to Glasgow, which is in Scotland, was always inevitable for me. Newton Mearns was home for me growing up, but I now live in a village called Neilston on the southside of the city with my husband Bob and our gorgeous, funny, five-year-old daughter Isla.

I speak a bit of Spanish
At school, I won the McNiven prize for German. Now I only remember the most basic of German. I do, however, speak a small amount of Spanish, and can understand Spanish series to some extent. My favourite Spanish show is Velvet about a fashion store set in 50s Madrid.

20 years as a journalist
I was a journalist for the best part of two decades, starting out as a sub-editor and finishing my journalism career in The People’s Friend as a magazine journalist. Apart from being a Zentangle teacher, I am also a virtual assistant, specialising in content creation. I am the Membership Manager for East Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce.

I have a small tattoo on my right hip of a butterfly.
Grey’s Anatomy, Schitt’s Creek and Breaking Bad are up there with my favourite TV series of all time.
I once starred in a short film, even saying a couple of lines… then I missed it when it was on telly!
Scottish and proud
I’m Scottish and proud. I’m not the only Scottish CZT but I’m the only CZT in Glasgow. My Scottish heritage is something you’ll see me make reference to from time to time in my social media, whether it’s the odd touch of tartan or Scottish music playing in my social-media posts.

I love Jane Austen
Reading has always been a big hobby for me and I often have more than two books on the go at the same time. I always have a stack of books on my bedside table. My favourite authors are quite varied and include Jane Austen, Stephen King and Peter James.

My creativity runs deep
It was no surprise that I became a Zentangle teacher as I’ve always been a very creative person. My hobbies over the years have included everything from calligraphy to crochet to Spirograph and Neurographica. It’s with Zentangle that my heart truly lies, though.
